I Love Feel Good Therapies
This website has undergone several incarnations over the years. It currently offers online booking for workshops and can take online payments. The administration of the courses and classes available is done through web pages by the owner of the site and so requires no intervention by BCG.
Recent additions include being able to buy mp3 downloads of meditation/relaxation tracks. The shopping cart is very user friendly and securely run by another site, but fully integrated into ilovefgt's pages. Payment is via Paypal at the moment but other options are available to us.
A customised twitter feed of Lorraine's tweets is also included for up to the date offers and info
This third (at least...) incarnation of the site is a complete revamp from the previous - a complete new look and feel with usability the main goal. Care has been taken to make the site 100% valid so it will display correctly across all browsers.
Gallanach Cottage
Gallanach Cottage is a beautifully situated holiday cottage on the shores of Loch Fyne. The website was designed by a colleague and implemented by bcgwebdesign. It features a gallery showing off the beautiful surroundings and pages of information about the area
At the moment it also features a booking enquiry form that captures information from potential holidaymakers. Coming soon is a more interactive calendar based booking system that will allow an administrator to control booking availability and allow site visitors to see when it is already booked. It will also calculate the expected cost of the stay based on the owner's pricing structure.
Villa de Mazamet
Villa de Mazamet is a fantastic B+B in Mazamet, France run by friends of ours. They needed some updates to their site, both English pages and French, so I helped out
Main additions were the all new gallery pages and amendments to the slideshow on the frontpage. There were also lots of other edits to text and images throughout the site.
Navigate Marketing
Navigate Marketing is a specialist marketing consultancy for professional service providers. The site's most interesting feature is the flash moving text which is controlled by a list of keywords. It can be customised in many ways, font size/color, links, speed, etc.
Along with the website I have also advised my client on email set up for blackberry and laptop, and helped on other techinical setup.
Mark Beaumont Online
Having working with Mark Beaumont on PedallingAround.com we started again on his new homepage.
Using experience gained from running the multiple blogs at PedallingAround.com we went with a new design and template which we created from scratch. A designer was involved in coming up with the look and feel which BCG implemented. Modifications to Wordpress allow for different banner/menus on different pages with the Diary page having a completely different colour scheme. Gallery is highly customisable and easy to use by non-techies.
Pedalling Around
I saw an article in the Evening News about Mark Beaumont who had done a lot of long distance cycling and decided the world record for cycling around the world was there for the breaking. He was asking for help of any kind and I volunteered to run his website. It uses a fantastic blog package called Wordpress which I have amended to make it do what we want (lots and lots of amendments!). It enables Mark and I to post new stories or articles from anywhere to keep readers interested and up to date with his progress.
AR Classic Occasions
Another different genre for BCGWebdesign. AR Classic Occasions are a new wedding car hire firm who came wanting a good looking website to advertise their cars. So lots of pictures and galleries showing off their fabulous classic cars.
There is also a contact form to capture any requests from visitors to the site
NicciKitchin
Nicci is an artist based in Edinburgh who had the site designed by a friend and came to me to implement it. Lots of imagery and very stylised look and feel.
Dee Taylor Therapies
Dee got in touch after her original web designer disappeared! I took over the site - tidied it up and have added content for her. I also spent a couple of hours or more going through the update process with Dee to give her the opportunity and capability to edit the website herself.
SpiritualConsultation
We transferred domain registration and control to BCG and hosted Helens's pages - including changes to the contact form.
Anna Evans Housing Consultancy
Straightforward website for a small business. Anna provided the text and ideas while BCG designed a template to lay it all out in. Some simple touches add to the website - static height to keep the look and feel the same on all screens - interactive menus - 100% html validated.
I Love Toast
Okay - hardly serious, but I have a love for toast so run a bit of an interactive website that lets users post articles/comments/etc about their love for toast. Quite technical to set up and needs occasional maintenance but otherwise runs itself. Various customisations on it but based on wordpress.
Therapies United
An offshoot of Feel Good Therapies, this website offers a searchable database of therapists to all. Information about the therapists, promotions, users, and therapies available is all controlled via the website administrator through webforms - meaning that minimal ongoing contact is required with BCG.
